Defence Industry Security Program membership enables greater electronic manufacturing security for Aerospace and Defence.
Extel Technologies is thrilled to announce we have been granted membership for the Defence Industry Security Program (DISP). This is a critical part of Extel’s ongoing commitment to strengthen our security practices providing protection of sensitive and classified information.
During our 30 years in business, Extel has been supplying the defence industry Tier 1 sector. Vincent Burns, Security Officer at Extel, said that the DISP membership is the latest initiative to reinforce our secure practices whilst ensuring Extel is aligned with the Australian Department of Defence requirements. “This step forward will support our aim of delivering the confidence and assurance when partnering with Extel that our systems, practices, people, and activities assure oversight and compliance. When developing a partnership with your supplier, confidence and trust are key. Our membership with DISP helps Extel provide that confidence in the areas of security of people, products, and information.” said Vincent.
Follow us for more news in this space as Extel is on track to gain AS9100 accreditation. This is the most recent standard for organizations that design, develop or provide aviation, space, and defence products and services, including parts, components, and assemblies. The standard was prepared by the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG) with assistance from members in aviation, space, and defence companies in the Americas, Asia Pacific, and Europe.
