We are thrilled to share that Extel has been selected as one of the proud recipients of the Manufacturing Growth Program grant, a remarkable initiative by the State Government. This program is designed to empower local manufacturers and foster innovation, and we are proud to be a part of this endeavor.
The Victorian Minister for Manufacturing Sovereignty, Ben Carroll, announced the allocation of $3.2 million in funding to support small and medium-sized manufacturers across the state. This funding is aimed at enabling businesses like ours to embrace advanced technology, enhance productivity and strengthen competitiveness.
Our project to increase our manufacturing capability, made possible by this grant, will enable us to continue our investment in Manufacturing 4.0. This transformative initiative will empower us to embrace cutting-edge technologies and practices, ensuring that we remain at the forefront of innovation in the manufacturing industry. By doing so, we not only create local jobs but also reaffirm our commitment to local manufacturing, serving our local customers with quality and innovative solutions.
The Made in Victoria – Manufacturing Growth Program supports a diverse range of manufacturing sectors, including food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, mining, construction, and machinery and equipment. We are honored to be among the recipients, standing shoulder to shoulder with other forward-thinking businesses committed to driving innovation in Victoria.
We would like to express our gratitude to the State Government for their commitment to supporting local manufacturers and fostering a thriving manufacturing ecosystem. This initiative aligns perfectly with the Made in Victoria 2030: Manufacturing Statement, which aims to strengthen local supply chains and boost innovation in the advanced manufacturing sector.
Manufacturing plays a pivotal role in our economy, employing more than 250,000 people (locally) and contributing $33 billion annually to the state’s economy. We are proud to be a part of this vibrant sector, contributing to its growth and success.
