Extel welcomes RMIT Students to Industry Day 2024

RMIT students returned to Extel Technologies for their Industry Day 2024 and were given a practical understanding of advanced engineering in an environment outside of the classroom. With direct access to our technical specialists as well as senior management, the students gained a well-rounded view of what awaits them post-graduation.

Practical vs Academic

Industry Day is not just a tour, it is an interactive experience. The tour of Extel’s advanced manufacturing facility allowed the students to see what they have been learning in the classroom applied in a real-life setting. RMIT is committed to providing a high-level education, but the realities of seeing the cutting-edge equipment and processes up close is an entirely different, immersive experience.

Innovation and Complexity

The students heard from a diverse degree of expertise, learning about the variety of roles and skills at Extel, and how innovatve products evolve from an idea, to an engineered drawing, to an optimized technical piece, to then a manufactured product.

Their enthusiasm for our technology and projects injected a positive vibe into the production line.
