With more than 1,700 exhibitors and over 15,000 attendees over the three days from 7th-9th February 2023, MD&M West 2023 is the largest medical device exhibition in North America. The energy and vibe this year were similar to pre-2020, and it was great to see old friends and meet new people. 

There was a variety of educational opportunities offered this year through the International MedTech Theater, the Medical Battery Conference, and a number of workshops covering all aspects of the design, development, and manufacture of medical device products. 

Our conversation centered around the latest medical device technologies, especially at-home treatment and preventative devices.  

Among the most important topics discussed at MD&M West were the upcoming growth expectations for the market and the challenges OEM’s face with parts and components, which require meticulous design and planning. 

This year, the global medical device outsourcing market is expected to reach USD 128.8 billion.
